In This Moment

So many moments in time I remember

But this moment is all that I have

So much time I have spent

Wondering if I've wasted 

The moments God has given me

Time just seems to slip away

And days seem to fade into years



So in this moment, Dear Lord

I surrender to you

Take my life and use it

To bring glory to you

In this moment, Dear Lord

I rejoice in your grace

I rest in your love

I walk with you in faith


I can't keep the years from passing by

But I can sing your praise till the day I die




So in this moment, Dear Lord

I surrender to you

Take my life and use it

To bring glory to you

In this moment, Dear Lord

I rejoice in your grace

I rest in your love

I walk with you in faith


So many fears in my life surround me

Like giant mountains standing in the way

And I want to believe your power is greater

Then the fear that I face today

Fear has no power in my life

For I belong to Jesus Christ


So in this moment, Dear Lord

I surrender to you

Take my life and use it

To bring glory to you

In this moment, Dear Lord

I rejoice in your grace

I rest in your love

I walk with you in faith


I don't know what the future holds

But I do know who is holding me




So in this moment, Dear Lord

I surrender to you

Take my life and use it

To bring glory to you

In this moment, Dear Lord

I rejoice in your grace

I rest in your love

I walk with you in faith


With joy I'll watch the years go by

And smile when others ask me why



Because in the moments, Dear Lord

You've been everything I need

You sacrificed your life 

To set this sinner free

In the moments, Dear Lord

You've sustained me by your grace

Your love was my fortress

Your peace my hiding place


Your my greatest treasure in this life

I lift my voice to praise Jesus Christ



So in this moment, Dear Lord

I surrender to you

Through the Sea

1. I step out on the shifting tides of time Tides of time The Savior walks to me  And bids me "Come" And I walk upon the waves As the Son fills up my gaze Yes, I walk upon the waves of my storms Of my storms As the Savior takes my hand and leads me on 2. And though the waters rise o'er my soul O'er my soul The Savior's presence near holds me fast And I face the waves that crash For my soul to Christ is lashed Yes, I face the waves that crash over me  Over me As the Savior holds me fast in His love 3. So I journey on my way through the sea Through the sea Though wind and waves and storms wash over me I am safe within my Rock In His wounds I shall abide As I journey on my way to my home To my home Where my Savior, Jesus, waits for me   (Written February 2023)
